I am honoured to welcome you to this page devoted to the inventions I developed at the Faculty of Energy and Fuels of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków.
These inventions were developed to meet the social need in connection with the propagation of environmental pollution, including common atmospheric air pollution with particulate matter and harmful substances, as well as problems with various allergies to plant pollen and other substances in the air. The presence of PM2.5 and volatile organic compounds poses a particularly high threat. PM2.5, i.e. particulate matter smaller than 2.5 micrometres poses a particularly high danger to human health, because absorbed through the respiratory tract can introduce harmful gases and heavy metals that dissolve into the bloodstream, causing great damage to the cardiovascular system including cardiac arrhythmias, respiratory tract irritation, coughing, breathing problems, allergies and decreased lung performance. Also volatile organic substances in the air, i.e. styrene, propylene glycol, phenols, xylenes, ethylbenzene, formaldehyde and others pose significant threats to human life and health. These substances, penetrating through the mucous membranes into the nervous system, cause headache, fatigue, drowsiness, and also have a carcinogenic effect.
